Although we recommend that you continue to take precautions and practice social distancing, many activities and events have opened up in recent weeks! We’ve gathered a list of some local activities that you and your family can get out of the house and enjoy this summer. As regulations necessitated by COVID-19 are always changing, however, be sure to keep an eye out for new developments.

Beaches

Burkes Beach

The Lowcountry has the best beach sunsets in the world. We might be a bit biased, but the view of our pillowy beaches and beautiful waters beneath the golden evening sky is one of the best parts of living on Hilton Head Island. Whether you’re looking for a serene reading spot amid the sand and palmettos or simply want to take a seaside stroll with your family, Burkes Beach is the perfect locale. Fairly secluded and calm, this beach is among the best on the island. It’s a local favorite for a reason!

Live Music

Live Music at the Tiki Hut

Since many of the festivals planned in the spring were cancelled due to COVID-19, many locals and travelers alike have been looking forward to live music filling the island air once again on Hilton Head. The Tiki Hut is an outdoor bar and music stage located right on the coastline. If you’re ready to stand under the stars, stick your toes in the sand, and let the sounds of summer wash over you, then visiting the Tiki Hut is a must this summer!
